Making Clock Realm Multiverse

Date

So I am starting this blog post to sort of record my effort of bringing the Clock Realm owned by Android:444 across the Metaverse and allow people to access it via multiple platforms. I should have started this a bit ago, but we can start from the beginning.

Clock Realm is the world that Android:444 and Clock Man-made with their creative energy and ability to change the flow of time. This universe is easy to get into, but it is very hard to get around. It also seems like a lot of new time creatures were made in this realm since they all seem to do what Android:444 tells them to do. I’ve paid a lot of attention to time in this zone. Something about it has always interested me. I feel like I’m stuck in a loop, and I think everyone else is. Or maybe I’m the only one? Maybe I don’t go out enough, but sometimes it feels like I wake up to the same thing every day. I guess I’m always looking for a way to break out of that loop, but that usually leads to a new one in which I live. like the realms of the Phettaverse. They seem to be made up, but these creatures do the same things repeatedly. Similar to a video game. When you leave that area with an NPC, what happens?

Okay, that’s OK. I’m done rambling now. Let’s talk about my trek throughout the metaverse to deliver this Clock Realm to you… Webaverse was the beginning. I owe my discovery of this free metaverse platform to Joy. We were talking about what we liked and didn’t like about VRChat and its world-building tools. Working with Unity was one of those things that made me want to vomit. Webaverse was immediately recommended to me by him. He also recommended that I follow DankVR, which I did and haven’t looked back since. They’ve obviously affected my desire to make this universe more widely available by making it available on a variety of platforms.

The first day I was shown Webaverse, I was able to recreate my first VRchat world within a couple of hours. Was very satisfying.

After building out this original world for the Phettaverse, I wanted to make a more themed version, and I was also minting a new 1/1 Character at the time, so i figured it would be the perfect mix for this character!

Once I had my ideas laid out, I begin bringing the Clock Realm to the Webaverse. I even streamed some of it as well!

Okay cool, Null, you got one world down, where is the others?? Well, next up I took on Oncyber. Oncyber is a neat metaverse gallery platform. A bit more simple compared to what Webaverse is but still amazing nonetheless for simple builds. They even introduced multiplayer!

However, with Oncyber, this was more of the funny rigged system of setting this up. i actually had to mint the 3d Objects used in the room to a free collection via opensea. Pretty silly and odd, they def should just introduce 3D object integration instead of forcing artists to do weird things like that. Still came out really nice I think! They even posted it on their Instagram!

The open sea collection is def the best part.

The next one was easy. Cryptovoxels! This was actually the first Metaverse platform I used when entering the space in 2020. I fell in love instantly, buying wearables from people and building a fun gallery for my paintings! (OG’s know I use to be a painter!)

Funnily enough, I was yelled at by my neighbor cus the build was too big.. But we vibe!

I mean I can see why my neighbor got mad but look how bad ass it looks! Come on now! You can view that world plot here!

The next platform I dived into was Monaverse! I actually have Monaverse to thank for me finally figuring out Unity animations cause I actually sat down and watched a youtube tutorial instead of giving up and getting distracted. I am still not a huge fan of working with Unity, but it is decently easy, just a pain in the but.

I do wish that Monaverse introduced VRM support, the closest thing to Phetta I could find was this big pink bear… Come on Monaverse.. You cant let me struggle like this..

My favorite part of Monaverse was their artifact and portal system, I do enjoy metaverse platforms allowing you to quickly move between worlds. I def want to see it be developed on more however to allow more open access to other platforms possibly! You can view the Monaverse space here!

After I got Monaverse and Unity animations down, I said to myself, why the hell have you not made it in VRChat yet?!?! And so I did, baby! You can visit that world here! I’ll always be a huge VRChat fan, I believe they def have it the most laid out, obviously being around for a bit now. I wish more of my friends had a VR headset and wanted to chill in vrchat more tho hehe.

What do you think you should learn from this? Once you get familiar with the various tools, I have found that building on any of the platforms on which I have worked is rather straightforward. There is always more than you can learn, and some people can definitely take it farther than others can, but what matters most is what you’re searching for. Obviously, there is always more than you can learn. I get the greatest enjoyment out of utilizing Webaverse or VRChat since they both enable avatars. It simply made it easier for me to connect to the platform in question rather than leaving me with a blank avi. If I am successful in bringing Clock Realm to a few additional metaverse platforms, I will be sure to keep this post up to current with the latest information.
